Two Factor Authentication

Introduction

Mie University provides commercial information services such as email and Office 365 for its members. These services are very convenient, but if your ID and password are stolen from a phishing site, your account could be accessed and misused from anywhere in the world.
To reduce this risk, Mie University will be introducing two-factor authentication for some services starting in April 2023. This means that when you log in, you will need to enter a verification code that is sent to your smartphone or other device. This makes it much more difficult for someone to log in to your account even if they have your ID and password.
It is also possible to register your frequently used computers, so you will not always need to enter the verification code.
