Email system for students

How to set up Becky! method

If you are using Becky !, please use the latest version (Ver.2.75 or later).


Setting Example

Login email address (user ID):yamada@m.mie-u.ac.jp

email address:yamada@m.mie-u.ac.jp


  1. Click "ファイル"→"メールボックス"→"新規作成" to open the account addition screen.
    Enter the required information and click "OK".
    ※Enter the e-mail address here (setting example: yamada@m.mie-u.ac.jp).

  2. Click "OK".

  3. Set the "基本設定" tab.
    • Reception protocol:IMAP4rev1
    • IMAP server (receive):imap.gmail.com, Check IMAPS.
    • SMTP server (outgoing):smtp.gmail.com, Check SMTPS., Uncheck OP25B.
    • User ID:Login email address(setting example:yamada@m.mie-u.ac.jp)
    • Authentication method:OAuth2

    The following screen may be displayed when "IMAPS" is checked.
    Click "はい".

    The following screen may be displayed when "SMTPS" is checked.
    Click "はい".

    The following screen may be displayed when "OAuth2" is checked.
    Click "OK".

  4. Set the "詳細" tab.
    • サーバーのポート番号
    • Check SMTP認証
    • Check OAuth2を使用
    • User ID:Login email address(setting example:yamada@m.mie-u.ac.jp)
      However, if you can not enter it, you can proceed as it is.
    Click "OK" when you are done.

  5. When you connect to the remote mailbox, the browser will start.

  6. Please log in with your student email address.
    If multiple accounts are displayed, select the target account and sign in.

  7. Click "許可".

  8. Click "許可".

  9. Close your browser.

  10. The setting is completed. Please check the sending and receiving of mail.
